JOB DESCRIPTION:  
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  

  1.  High School diploma required or equivalency certification( GED) or equivalent work related experience.

  2.  Any equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable.

  3.  Requires one year of graduate training in clerical and secretarial area.

  4. Typing minimum 50-60 wpm.

  5. Spelling must be accurae at 85-90% accuracy.

  6. Computer experience.

  7. Requires more than two years of related expeience with at least one year service in a school district desired.

  8. Requires well developed customer servicee and human relation skills and be able to handle confidential information.

  9. Some assignments may require possession of a valid Arizona driver's license.

  10. Provide information to district personnel and public regarding services provided by the Transportation Department.

  11. Maintains organized proper files and records as needed by the Transporation Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

 Performance Responsibilities



  1. May have to transcripts students in the event of a special activiity or situation.

  2. Maintain filing system and process correspondence of others as assigned to Transportaion Department.

  3. Assists to assure bus drivers are ready and prepared for duty and accountable for assigned responsibilities.

  4. Assists to in scheduling and assigning drivers for field trips and emergency changes.

  5. Operates varies office machines.

  6. Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.

  7. Prepare and maintain mileage reports.

  8. Perform receptionist responsibilities as needed.

  9. Communicates clearly over the radio and person to person by operating a two-way radio system and correspond with drivers, as needed.

  10. Analyzes situations and adopts an effectie course of action, carries out verbal and written directions independently.

  11. Maintains accurate reports to the Arizona Department of Education, Motor Vehicle Division, and to the Department of Public Safety.

  12. Knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to pupil transportation.

  13. Knowledge of school and transportation department emergency procedures pertaining to accidents and/injuries on the buses.

  14. Enforces district policies and rules of conduct, reports behavior issues and other concerns to supervisor or principal.

  15. Assists district personnel, public and parents/guardianss with information regarding bus routes, a crisis and emergency situations as requested or needed.

  16. Performs other related job tasks upon request of supervisor.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:  

Physicial Requirement/ Extensive sitting with some walking, standing, stooping/bending and lifting.
