JOB DESCRIPTION:  

To provide each child with an environment that will enable him to reach his fullest physical,emotional, educational, psychological and behavioral potential for each child. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  

 



  1. Graduate of an accredited college or university.

  2. Current Arizona Elementary, Secondary Education

  3. Meets NCLB Requirements of Being Highly Qualified as it applies to assigned position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Performance Responsibilities



  • Demonstrate knowledge in subject area

  • Demonstrate knowledge of curriculum development to include scope and sequence

  • Plan, model, and develop behavioral strategies

  • Provide instruction at student skill level and at a variety of levels of thinking

  • Teach to the learning objectives as specified in the lesson plans

  • Teach necessary objectives in a logical sequence

  • Use a variery of instructional techniques and methods related to the objectives

  • Demonstrate and promote mutual respect

  • Promote positive self-concepts and maintain a positive and simulating learning environment

  • Meet with parents and provide information as needed, including behavioral interventions

  • Collect, analyze and interpret behavioral data

  • Provide opportunities for students with emotional behavioral difficulties to practice appropriate social skills in a structured setting

  • Assist the IEP team in the developemnt of an individual intervention plan that supports the IEP goals and objective outcomes

  • Monitor behavioral needs of students and implement positive intervention plans as needed

  • Ensure Functional Behavioral Assessment/Behavioral Intervention Plans are processed

  • Prepare and maintain records and reports as required for compliance

  • Manage student behavior

  • Communicate clearly, accurately and appropriate with students and all stakeholders

  • Attend meetings, workshops, seminars, conferences, and/or advanced course work at institutions of higher learning as appropriate

  • Demonstrate awareness of Governing Board policies, procedure and statues related to job responsibilities

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor, superintendent and/or governing board
