POSITION:  Instructional Data Coach Specialist
JOB DESCRIPTION:  

The Instructional Data Coach Specialist will assist the instructional stafff with the disaggregation of sudent achievement data from assessments to impact instruction.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  

Master’s Degree or higher from accredited


Arizona Certification, Standard Elementary K-8, Supervisor and/or Principal Certification


Valid Arizona fingerprint card


Minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience


Demonstrated experience with assessment data


Must have an understanding knowledge,skills and processes for teaching at the elementary level


Excellent organizational skills and experience providing training in data-driven instruction.


Must have the ability to work in a cooperative manner with a variety of groups, includes department heads, administrators, teachers, parents, and community respresentative

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Support teachers in developing effective classroom management systems

  • Assist teachers with curriculum planning, lesson implementation and acquisition of the materials, based on Arizona State Standards and district curriculum.

  • Arrange opportunities for teachers to observe best teaching practices (modeling lessons, observing on other campuses)

  • Maintain approachable attitude towards all staff members

  • Provide and support new and continuing staff in content and delivery of district instructional programs

  • Teach and model effective instructional strategies

  • Teach and support assessment strategies and data analysis designed to drive instruction

  • Observe, conference and coach instructional staff with suggested strategies in the classroom

  • Collaborate with appropriate staff to improve the quality of instruction

  • Attend and conduct professional development and training sessions

  • Serve as a liaison and disseminate information between curriculum department and schools

  • Submit mid-year and end-of –year documentation to appropriate administration

  • All other duties assigned by supervisor


 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:  

Experience providing professional development regarding Best Practices strategies


Experience analyzing and using data to assist with making instructional decisions
